Well today was pretty much the longest day ever...
We left Menominee about 7am to get to the Green Bay airport to begin our journey...
not really a good journey lol. from green bay we went to Minneappolis (1 hour flight)
i guess this is why they call it the land of 10,000 lakes..

then from there to Honolulu (8 hour flight) did you know that the temp. was -71 holy crap right,
i guess its cold at 30 some thousand feet in the sky when your going 500 MPH lol
FINALLY we see some land after 4 hours of all ocean, this is as we were coming into Honolulu.
Then from there it was to
to Lihue, our final destination.
Now it was time to get off the plane knowing we werent getting back on for at least a
week now was prob the only good thing at the moment.
We were both by now so crabby, tired, and hungry but also excited to be in Hawaii
so then we went to get our luggage, and when we got there we got fresh flower lei greeting, that was kinda cool
then on to get our rental car, they had a shuttle that takes you over to the main office of the rental place
by now he is super crabby and were both ready to just get to our cabin.

the cool part is they tell you to go in the parking lot and pick the one you want and the keys are in it,
so we picked this cool lookin thing...a Chevy HHR. looks like a hurse but its pretty cool lol

so finally we get to our cottage and to our suprise our one room loft was, thanks to torrential rain pour, flooded.
so we got upgraded to a three bedroom house for no extra charge or anything for the whole week!!

the head guy here, Chris is really cool, very accomodating, and is originally from Michigan, what a small world right.
He also had out for us when we got here a dozen roses, 2 boxes of chocolates, 2 things of bath salts, 2 Kauai key chains
a bag of Vanilla Macadamia Nut coffee (super yummy) and 2 fresh lei's shaped into hearts on the kitchn table!! very, very cool.
so now were just super hungry so we went and found a grocery store and jason cooked us our first meal in Kauai.
Hawaiian Teriyaki Tuna and Seafood Poke over herb and long grain and wild rice, which was super yummy!!!

would you believe its $6.99 for a gallon of milk here, wow. and a small pack of Kraft cheese is over 7 bucks!!
they must not like cows here.So now we got full bellys, but are still tired and crabby, 20 more minutes
and i think one of would have been strangled and fed to the gecko that hangs out in our living room.
